Prof. Don Page
Don is Cathy's husband and the father of 5 adult children, two of whom are adopted from Haiti. He is currently a physicist at the University of Alberta. Don witnessed moderate poverty while growing up in small Alaskan villages without telephones, televisions, running water, or roads. However, this could not even begin to compare with the much more abject poverty seen during many visits to Haiti and one visit each to India and South Africa.
Don believes that even when we sacrifice some of our own total happiness by giving so that the resources can increase the happiness
of those in need even more, we should make that sacrifice. CHILD is one means by which we can definitely provide great improvement to the well-being of people in need in Haiti, India, and South Africa.
