It is reported that 8100 villages are completely submerged in the district of Krishna, Andhra Pradesh due to heavy rains. The situation in the area may further worsen as more heavy rains are predicted.
Several years back a visting team from CHILD donated and distributed saries to widows and single women living in poverty in a slum area called Ranigarithota that Metropolitan Mission is active in. This slum is situated close to a river. Due to the heavy rains it also got completely submerged with water in the last week.
The inhabitants of the slum have all been evacuated. They  are badly in need of food, water, blankets, and a minimum of clothes. Metropolitan Mission is planning to do some relief work there. They have the manpower but not enough funds.
Please help CHILD get some needed funds to them
