We had a successful event on July 20. Thanks for coming out even though it was raining during part of the evening. We experienced a bit of Indian culture by eating delicious Indian rice dishes, by enjoying the two lovely dancers and by getting our hands and feet painted. Thanks to the proficient cooks , dancers and artists. It was great to get feedback from the 13 wells drilled in Andhra Pradesh with slides taken by Michelle and Nils during their visit in May 2013. The specific villages had a great water shortage due to severe drought and heat.( see previous blog). Thank so much to all donors.
Proceeds from the rice bags, the rice hot/cold packs and the batteries at the event are enough to feed at least 50 children for a month each with rice. Thanks soo much.
We also had a sign up for riders to join the Ride for Refuge bide ride on October 5. We have 3 team leaders signed up.
