Some friends and neighbours gathered to celebrate Pi Day in the James' home. Donations of $3.14 were made for a piece of pie, $31.40 for a whole pie, and $314 for the opportunity to pie one of the James' in the face. All in all it was a fun and successful evening of sharing and friendships while at the same time donating to the nutrition program for severely malnourished children in Palto, Haiti.
Avalon School also held a Pi Day fundraiser and raised several hundred dollars for Palto!
Thanks to all the generous donors, the pie bakers and the host! Thanks to Avalon School students! Over $1,800 was raised!
